Charles-Edouard BOUKARE

As a young french researcher in planetary geodynamics and my father being native of the Central African Republic, the recent launch of the Africa Initiative for Planetary and Space Sciences (AFIPS) immediately attracted my attention. I really would like to contribute to this project and I am currently looking for African institutes in planetary sciences and/or geophysics that seek to develop international partnerships via the AFIPS.  My research focuses on the early thermochemical evolution of terrestrial mantles after planetary accretion (see my CV attached). I have obtained my PhD in France in 2016 (Lyon, Laboratoire de Géologie de Lyon) and after a two-years postdoc in the U.S. (Providence, Brown University), I will be based at the Earth and Planetary Sciences Laboratory of Lausanne (Switzerland) starting in October 2018. If you plan to submit a proposal for a AFIPS workshop this year and you are looking for international contributors, please feel free to contact me. I will be very happy to discuss (1) the best way I can provide a support that will fit your needs and (2) potential collaborations that we may initiate.
